Under the leadership of Mayor William R. Jao, the Local Government Unit of Tubigon has been actively focused on improving the town’s infrastructure to address the needs of the growing population.

One of the significant milestones of this administration is the construction of evacuation centers in Barangay Potohan and Barangay Genonocan. These evacuation centers will serve the community as a safe and secure shelter during emergencies and times of disaster. This is to ensure that the community is prepared, safe, secured, and supported in times of natural disaster.

The infrastructure is just the beginning of the LGU’s long-term vision for enhancing the disaster management infrastructure of Tubigon.  This is also a multi-purpose building where they can maximize the use of this building. This will not only serve as a shelter for emergencies, but can also be utilized as multi-purpose venues during non-crisis periods.

LGU Tubigon adheres to promote sustainable development and to safeguard public welfare. Another significant infrastructure milestone of this administration is the installation of solar-powered streetlights along its highways and barangay roads. This environmentally responsible initiative not only advances renewable energy utilization but also enhances road safety and nighttime accessibility for all constituents, demonstrating the municipality’s commitment to eco-friendly and resilient infrastructure improvements.

In the barangays, where road conditions can sometimes be less developed, the installation of streetlights has a transformative impact on the community. It also provides added security for residents, ensuring that roads and pathways are safe at night. The solar-powered streetlights are just one example of how the administration is implementing smart and eco-friendly infrastructure improvements.
